It’s been a joy becoming acquainted with all the new Tumi collections, as well as all of Tumi's technological developments in design and materials.  
 

And with all the changes in the way we work, play and travel, we thought it might be useful to break down one category in particular.  Backpacks have become an integral part of our lives, no matter age or gender, and we’re more demanding about the features we expect.

There are a few key considerations when choosing a backpack:
 

Where am I heading?
Is it the daily commute? Hands-free travel? A long work trip with many stops or side-trips? 
 

What do I need to bring? 
Is it laptop plus tablet and all the media accessories, plus a change of clothes and toiletries?  Or just a lightweight carry-all for side trips?  Water bottle and gym gear, or a mobile office?  
 

How will it work with my luggage?
Does this backpack have the all-important slip for my trolley handle, if I want to use it with my carry on or wheeled suitcase?  Does it replace a carry-on or become my 'personal item' with a wheeled office?

The Alpha Bravo Logistics Backpack has proven a great success in our stores with those looking for a more rugged style, and the versatility of the foldover top, which can be expanded upwards to accomodate yet more gear.  

There is a separate padded laptop compartment at the rear, and the main compartment opens wide with an L-shaped zipper that allows for easy packing.  There are multiple exterior pockets, loops for adding your own accessories,  and all the organization you'd expect inside, as well as the pass-through slip on the rear for your Tumi wheeled case handle.

The Alpha Bravo Carryon Backpack is a roomy 40L, two-wheeled carryon that converts to a backpack.  
A terrific companion for trips where you need the hands-free option.  The main compartment opens with a super U-shaped zipper for the widest access possible.  There's a chest strap for comfortable carry, and a fabric panel (that tucks away) to cover the wheels when you're wearing it on your back.  On the top, a small quick access pocket, and on the rear, yet again, the essential pass-through slip so you can carry this backpack on top of your suitcase.
