"Boldrini Selleria was established in Tuscany, in Chiesina Uzzanese, a small town still smelling of the scent of leather of the close-by tanneries. With the unmistakable style of very careful artisan making, since 1955 our leathergoods masters design and manufacture our products and make our bags unique with very special traditional details.
The great passion for our work was handed on during the years from father to son, giving start to our firm that is now engaged in projecting to the future “that taste of a long time ago” and maintaining alive the tradition of the craftsman’s workshop that creates and customizes its articles…
Carefully selected materials, vegetable tanned skins and a 100% hand-made production carried out by highly qualified persons as it is usual in the Tuscan and Italian tradition: this is the driving philosophy of the “L&C Boldrini - Luggage” production."
Hunt Leather first imported Boldrini in the late 1980s. The quality has always been superb, but the weight was a little high. Now they’ve developed a new, softer lighter weight grained leather collection, which is just perfect for us. The vegetable tanned leathers are tanned in Italy by a natural process, in wooden barrels with plant extracts and barks, like chestnut or acacia tannin. This quality of leather just gets better and better with age.
Please note: As normal with vegetable-tanned leather, when the bags are new, in damp or humid conditions, there may be colour transfer onto light clothing.
